Ken and Patt Wadenpfuhl are, first and foremost, devoted followers of Jesus Christ who have served the kingdom of God for most of their 31 years of marriage. Parents to two grown kids, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and one growing teen, they reside in Olmsted Falls with 14 year old Hana Jun, two pups and several fish. They are often visited by their new (and first) granddaughter, Poppy - but never often enough.
Ken and Patt started their careers as professional musicians and Ken continues to work as a freelance musician playing french horn with a variety of ensembles such as the Cleveland Opera, City Music, the Blossom Festival Orchestra, the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, and the Akron Symphony, to name a few. His other freelance work includes studio recording and various shows at the Palace and State theater such as Phantom of the Opera, Secret Garden, Little Women and the upcoming Mary Poppins. Ken is also a composer and
produces contemplative CDs at Ancient Path studios. His CDs, including Come to the Waters, Rivers of Living Water, and Still Waters are enjoyed around the world.
As the adoptive parents of two Asian daughters, the Wadenpfuhls are also vocal child advocates who have worked for the last decade among the most vulnerable and marginalized children in Africa. Patt has recently participated in a book project for Focus on the Family - and the
Wadenpfuhls' story of their journey to China to adopt Hana Jun has been broadcast on Focus on the Family and shared in various venues throughout the world.
Patt, who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a speaker, singer, and songwriter with several recordings to her credit such as No God but God and Face to Face. She is also a playwright who has written, directed and produced several original stage musicals here in Cleveland, as well as Europe and Africa.
Patt is the President and Founder of Ancient Path, a not-for-profit organization that uses the arts to incite compassionate action and ignite hope in a hurting world. For over a decade, Patt has traveled frequently to Africa, Europe and Asia, linking with indigenous organizations and churches to build the body of Christ.
Together, this husband and wife team has served for 20 years as local church Worship and Arts directors here in the Greater Cleveland area. We are thrilled and honored to have them join the ministry team at ROCKSIDE CHRCH as worship leaders!
