PRAY FOR KINGS AND THOSE IN AUTHORITY...I Timothy 2:1-2

The Bible instructs us to “pray for Kings and those in authority” in I Timothy 2:1-2.

The press release read…

“COLUMBUS—State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) hosted Reverend Donna Barrett during a recent House legislative session to offer the opening prayer. Reverend Barrett and the congregation of Rockside Church are heavily involved in the Independence community. Rockside Church sermons take place on Sundays with a pre-service prayer at 9:45 AM followed by the service at 10:30 AM.”

Now it's your turn. At the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, Thursday, May 3 every citizen gets the privilege and responsibility to find a place of prayer and pray for our nation. There are 7 stations in Independence throughout the day (see side bar) and activities on the town square downtown Cleveland from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sure we can pray at home but this is one day designated to pray publicly with others. It's a privilege not to take for granted.

CONNECTION POINTS Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 PM

ROCKSIDE YOUTH – gathers the 1st and 3rd Mondays with Youth for Christ at the High School.

EVERY MAN'S BATTLE, a six-session small group meetings Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM including coffee and bagels meeting at IWU in room #104 through Saturday, May 26.

SOUTH GATE MONTHLY PRAYER MEETING – will meet May 16 (always the 3rd Wednesday) from 10:00 AM to noon to continue praying for the city of Independence and the South area of Greater Cleveland. Public is welcome.

PRE-SERVICE PRAYER - each Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:25 the sanctuary room #202 is a place for prayer with instrumental music provide by Britton Roberts and a place to soak, center, and saturate our souls in God's presence. See if the 10:30 AM service is more rich when we're more prepared.

Our Focus

Our focus is to create an atmosphere where people can connect with God through prayer, live music and a message from the Bible.

Dress is casual and the atmosphere is friendly with coffee and pastries. Children enjoy groups designed for infants through 5th grade.
